Flipkart charges 6% referral/commission fee on Apparel & Fashion products. Additionally, there's a closing fee (₹25–40 depending on price slab), forward shipping charges (₹40–80 per 500g for self-ship), and TCS at 1% on the gross amount. The TCS amount is recoverable when you file GST returns.
TDS u/s 194O at 1% is deducted by Flipkart on gross sales if your annual sales through the platform exceed ₹5 lakh in a financial year. This TDS is credited to your Form 26AS and can be adjusted against your income tax liability when filing ITR.
The 6% commission is charged on the selling price (inclusive of GST). However, the platform will charge 18% GST on the commission fee as a marketplace service — this GST on commission is recoverable as ITC against your output GST liability.
